Minutes of the offline meeting held on 10 November 1998

1. Aims of the LHCb architecture review (J.Harvey)
John presented the Aims of the LHCb architecture review (ppt, ps) which will take place at CERN on the 26 November.

- Reviewers : C.Arnault, R.D.Schaffer, L.Tuura from ATLAS, V.Innocente from CMS, D.Duellman from IT

Many people were interested to participate as passive person to the meeting.

After some discussion it was agreed that:
- the development team would be present as observer,
- A physicist should be part of the reviewer team,
- the meeting should be Video recorded,
- the key points of the meeting will be presented with the help of the Video at a following Software meeting.

3. Some scenarii for the LHCb architecture framework (P.Mato)
The project has a Web page. Please look at it for more details.

Pere has shown some possible scenarios which look like requirements.
These scenarios should be prioritised as requirements.
Paul is making several interviews to collect scenarios (or requirements) from the various physicist groups.
Specific requirements of remote developpers or users are not yet taken into account but it should be.
The UML notation will be used to describe interfaces and components.

4. A.O.B

It was forseen to invite John Deacon to our Review meeting on the 26 November.
John Deacon was quite interested but because of other comittments it does not seem possible.
