The following problems with Brunel are known. Please report additional problems to Marco Cattaneo.
Date | Description | Affected versions | Workaround and status |
2001-09-14 | Core dump if attempting to add muon background to a dataset where this was already done in SICBMC | all versions since v4 | OK in default version. Only happens if
using option BrunelDigiMUON.addBkg = true; for a dataset where muon background is already added. Due to a bug in MURMBG |
2001-09-13 | Memory leak - program size increases by approx 0.5MB per event | all versions | Under investigation. Partly fixed in v8 |
2001-09-05 | Partition too large in WIRW (reported by G.Corti) |
all versions | Actually a problem in the input data. Will be fixed in dbase 242 |
2001-09-05 | "UBPUT: object chaining clobbered VRHT" on some events | all versions | Under investigation |
2001-09-05 | "NaN skipped" on some events | all versions | Due to missing protection on sqrt of negative number in TrMonitor. Will be fixed in next version of Track classes |
2001-09-05 | "*T0_addMC* : ATMC reference2 is 0 , !!!!! ERROR !" on some events | all versions | Not a real problem. Due to missing ATMC references on calorimeter noise hits. |
