First tracks produced by the LHC beam during synchronization test
have been
seen in the VELO detector on Friday late afternoon on August
22nd triggered by the
Calorimeter detector SPD saturated by tracks. This was made possible by the
perfect monitoring of the LHC beam and very effective communication with the
machine. |
