Dear LHCB colleagues,

The collaboration board decided to introduce two categories of LHCB notes: 'internal note' used only inside the Collaboration, 'public note' available also to the outside. Only 'public notes' may be refered to by other public documents, such as papers submitted for publication, for conference proceedings and to the LHCC. Here are the guidelines: 1)LHCB 'internal notes': May be written by anybody in the LHCB collaboration. For distribution only inside the LHCB collaboration. 2)LHCB 'public notes': Must be approved by the convener or project leader of the relevant group/project and by the spokesperson. 3)When submitting any LHCB note, specify whether it is proposed as an internal or public note.
