Dear LHCb colleagues,
I would like to remind you the following points for the LHCb notes.
As decided by the collaboration board sometime ago, there exist two
kinds of LHCb notes:
LHCb Internal Note
LHCb Public Note
The author of the note can request which one to be. For an Internal
Note, every LHCb collaborator can ask an LHCb note number from the LHCb
secretariat and it is used for the internal discussion only. For a
Public note, this has to be refereed and cleared by the relevant
subsystem coordinator and if required by the spokesperson.
In our new web, the following system has been introduced. Only the
public note can be refereed officially to the outside of the
collaboration. It is clearly marked in the LHCb web document data base.
While the public notes can be accessed by everybody, internal notes
require the password for access.
