2nd LHCb Software Week - June 2-4

Thanks you for your responses. I have now made a new version of the
agenda for the 3 days of meetings next week. New contributions are
still very welcome, as are your comments and suggestions. The agenda
is maintained on the LHCb Computing web pages at :

Please note that on Thursday afternoon the meeting will be devoted to
launching two new activities :
1) The first is dedicated to simulation and for this I have invited John Apostolakis
from the GEANT4 development team at CERN to come and give us an
overview of the GEANT4 toolkit. This will be followed by a discussion of how
we intend to get started with GEANT4.
2) The second activity is a proposal to start a new project to organise the
efforts in event reconstruction. The goals of the project would be to bring
together physicists working on software, to define the reconstruction strategies
and to produce the skeleton of the new LHCb reconstruction program
It would be great if as many people as possible could attend this session.
