The 4th LHCb Software Week will be held at CERN next week
from Wednesday to Friday (April 5 - 7).
The preliminary agenda may be found on our web pages at :
http://lhcb.cern.ch/computing/SoftwareWeeks/Apr2000/SWApr2000.htm
Please let me have your suggestions and comments as soon as
possible. New contributions are of course most welcome.
We rely on your active participation as there are many important
issues to be discussed during this meeting. In particular we would
like to get news on:
  - ongoing initiatives in computing outside CERN (see Wed am)
  - take a look at what we have to do between now and end 2001 to
prepare the Computing TDR. For example input is needed from
each subdetector group on possibilities to start using GEANT4.
This discussion is planned for Friday afternoon.
The meeting will also review the status of the migration of
SICb (Wed pm) and on Thursday we will discuss in detail issues arising
from the first use of the new detector description and Event
Model components of the new OO software framework (GAUDI).
         John
