Dear LHCb colleagues
As published some weeks ago, we will have a front-end - DAQ - controls
workshop at CERN from Tuesday, May 15 at 14:00 to Friday, May 19 at 12:00.
The workshop starts Tuesday at 14:00 to enable people to arrive Tuesday morning
and finishes friday at noon to enable people to return home friday afternoon.
The general outline of the workshop is planned to be quite similar
to our workshop last year. Informal discussions of the different subjects
are encouraged to enable us to get a good overview of all the potential
problems in the different parts of the experiment. Each sub-detector group
should send experts working in the different subjects and their specific
requirements/problems should be identified the best possible beforehand.
Tuesday, May 16, afternoon: Front-end
Wednesday, May 17: Front-end
Thursday, May 18: TFC - DAQ - Controls
Friday, May 19, morning: Workshop summary and AOB.
A first preliminary agenda of the workshop is given below (please comment).
Any volunteers to make presentations of specific problems/solutions in
sub-detectors in any of the given subjects are most welcome ! (just
send us an Email). If specific problems in sub-detectors are known
it is recommended to prepare an overhead or two of the problem to be
shown during discussions.
