The ``Laboratoire de l'Accelerateur Lineaire'' (LAL) has an opening
for a postdoctoral position to work on the LHCb experiment and is open
to non french citizens .
The LHCb-LAL group is heavily involved in the design and construction
of the front-end electronics for both the electromagnetic and hadronic
calorimeters. In addition, the group is responsible, together with the
Bologna LHCb group, for designing and building the Level 0 calorimetric
trigger of the experiment.
The applicant will be expected to work in close contact with a group
of physicists and engineers involved in the development of the front-end
electronics. The applicant should be familiar with high energy physics
software techniques. Some background in electronics would be a positive
asset.
The position will be open in March 2000 for a duration of one year.
No possibility of an extension is forseen at present.
