Minutes : Florence Ranjard
1. Status of SICBMC v233
- G.Wilkinson has sent corrections in the code and the data base to cure the "extra
material in front of the Ecal" problem.
- I.Korolko has redone the geantino test and it seems that it is ok now.
- It is very important to evaluate the impact of this bug on the Calorimeter production
for the TDR.
- I.Korolko has found a strange effect in the proton beams momenta which could be due to
the corrections implemented in the
event generation to speed up this step. P.Bartalini should be contacted when he is back
from Conference.
2. SICBMC v233 huge production
- There is a project to produce 20*10**6 events on the Liverpool farm with SICBMC v233 /
SICBDST v235 keeping
only a MiniDSt.
- As it is such production would require 6 months on the MAP.
- to speed up the processing it would be good to apply the triggers as soon as
possible:
- L1 during the Geant3 step when particles have left the vertex vessel.
- other triggers during the reconstruction before the RICH extended tracking.
- These possibilities have to be checked very carefully.
- The farm has to be upgrade to RedHat 6.2
- We can expect 1 full month of processing time before Xmas.
