Dear Colleagues, Our principal LHCC referee, Don Hartill, kindly informed us
the discussion took place at the LHCC closed session: 1) The LHCb Technical
Proposal has been well received. 2) The capability of the LHCb experiment in CP
violation measurements has been clearly recognised. 3) Various questions will be
formulated by the referees and the most of them will be given to us by the
begining the the next week. We are requested to responds to those questions,
partly in written report and partly in the discussion with LHCC referees takes
place in May 5th and 6th. Referees will make then detailed presentations during
the LHCC colsed session, 7-8 May, which will be followed by some additional
questions. The final response to all those questions will be again discussed in
July's LHCC session. 4) Provided that we will handle well those questions, there
is a very good chance that the LHCC will make a positive recommendation to the
Research Board to approve the experiment.
During the next LHCb meeting, We should discuss how to organise ourselves to
work on the list of questions which, I hope, will be largely avilable by the
meeting. Looking forward to see you next week.
yours Tatsuya
