4TH WORKSHOP ON ELECTRONICS FOR LHC EXPERIMENTS =============================================== Rome, 21-25 September 1998

- Organized by INFN Rome, on behalf of the CERN LEB -

CALL FOR PAPERS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The purpose of the workshop is to identify areas and encourage common efforts for development of electronics within and between the different LHC experiments and to promote cross fertilisation in the engineering and physics communities involved in the LHC activities. The program of the workshop will emphasise research and recent development in the following topics:

- Systems reliability, quality assurance and maintenance - Radiation tolerant electronics - Optoelectronics and data transfer systems - Detector control systems - Electronics production and test - Electronics for trackers - Electronics calorimeters - Electronics for muon detectors - Trigger electronics - Low voltage and high voltage distribution - Grounding, shielding and cooling

Authors are invited to submit papers describing original developments and new contributions in the topic areas. Manufacturers are welcome to submit abstracts on new, state of the art, electronic products or systems, in the field of activities of particle physics.

Abstracts and summaries will be made available at the time of the workshop : these will include papers which cannot be granted an oral presentation because of time constraints but which, in the view of the programme committee, are of interest to the community. Workshop records will be made available.

Abstracts (100 words long) and summaries (500 words long) must be submitted by E-mail, preferably in PostScript format with Times 12pt font for the body of the text. The summary should be complete and describe the work, its relevance to experiments at LHC and important conclusions. The deadline for submission is:

30 April 1998 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The e-mail address for abstracts and summaries submission is:

leb98@roma1.infn.it ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

An acknowledgement will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding Author.
