The progress of the drafts of the various sections were reviewed.

  1. Tatsuya Nakada reported no progress for the physics overview chapter.

  2. Dave Websdale presented a status summary of the detector chapter.

  1. John Harvey presented the status of the data handling chapter.

  2. Hans-Jürgen Hilke reported no progress on the experimental area chapter

  3. Tatsuya Nakada reported that the physics performance chapter will only be done when the work on the tuning of the trigger is finished.

  4. Hans-Jürgen Hilke will contact responsibles for costing information. The nominal, average luminosity should be fixed to 1.8 (or 1.5) times 10**32 over 10 years, but we should be able to handle 5 times 10**32 instantaneously on the short term without losses to data or equipment.

By Dec 15th we must have a complete version of the TP collected. The EB will then start to edit this so that we can produce a first release for the referees later in that week.

For the next meeting (5 December 14:00-18:00 Room 2/1-034),

  • a complete draft of the technical proposal should be ready. In particular:
    • all the detector chapter contributions should have been received
    • the data handling chapter should be ready in draft form (including the most substantial parts of the trigger)

A.O.B.

  • As a measure of page size, the pages of the LOI should be used.
  • The first draft may be produced by keeping the contributions in their original format.
