Version v11r11
Release Date 23 July 2004 Description Version for DC'04 production tests. Based on Gaudi v14r6 with patched GaudiAlg and LHCb v15r13. Includes LoKi v2r8.
Many, many changes. Please test this version before it goes into DC'04 production...
This version compiles and runs on Windows. Please use it and report any problems.
Main modifications
DVAlgorithmnow inherits fromGaudiAlgorithm. Please recompile all your code innewmycmt. Generally, please useGaudiAlgorithmandGaudiTool (documentation).All transporters have been corrected to include errors on the z position, as discussed in lhcb-soft-talk ("a likely problem in transporting a composite particle state"). This slightly increases all vertex chi^2.
New filter criterions:
FlightDistanceFilterCriterion and TrackTypeFilterCriterion.New
IBestParticlesinterface andKinBestParticlestools that filters the n particles with highest P, Pt or E. TheFilterByBestParticlesalgorithm calls this tool. See$DAVINCITOOLSROOT/options/DVFilterByBestParticles.opts.New
ChangePIDalgorithm. For HLT-experts.The
NoPIDsParticleMaker(for HLT) accepts long. upstream and downstream tracks. All obsolete particle makers have been removed. Please complain if you still need one.Allows to re-run the L0 muon trigger.
Updated electron reconstruction. If you want to use electrons include "
$DAVINCIROOT/options/DaVinciElectrons.opts" before "$DAVINCIROOT/options/DaVinciReco.opts".
$DAVINCIROOT/options/DVStripping.opts and $DAVINCIROOT/options/DVTRiggerFilter.optsallow to run the DC'04 preselection and L0xL1 strippings. Use$DAVINCIROOT/job/Stripping.jobto submit stripping jobs.The flavour tagging includes now the same side pion tag.
CheckSelResultinTools/Utilitiesallows to check theselResultoutput of a given list of algorithm. Both the OR and AND modes are available. Can be useful in a sequencer.Some selections have been modified to reflect the changes above. A new preselection is available:Bs2DsDs.There are many new features in
LoKiv2r8. See the mailing list and the release notes.Known problems: L0Muon crashes with Hbook output. GaudiPython cannot be used with POOL persistency. Use ROOT data instead. Some links to MC are not up-to-date and might not work because the necessary information is not saved in the Brunel output. Please notify all unexpected behaviour.
