REGISTRATION OF A NEW PARTICIPANT WITH THE LHCb COLLABORATION
You need to register a new member and he/she can be registered either as: 1) External participant : Registered in the CERN and FENCE database, granted with computing account and accesses to LHCb resources and not being physically at CERN (working from Home Institute). 2) USER: Registered in the CERN and FENCE database, granted with computing account and accesses to LHCb resources and being physically at CERN as he/she is holding a CERN USER contract.
FIRST REGISTRATION AT cern		ALREADY REGISTERED AT CERN
External participant registration If the new member is working from his/her institute and needs computing account and access to LHCb resources. Please fill in the LHCb registration form signed by the team leader (or deputy) of your institute and then upload it on the CERNbox with a valid ID Card or passport. Once done, kindly inform the secretariat via email.		External participant registration Please ensure that the participation of the new member with the previous experiment is closed. The new member should contact the experimental secretariat of his previous experiment to do so. If your member will be working for several experiments, it's possible. But please note that for the LHC experiments it is subject to the approvals of the spokespersons of the experiments concerned. Then fill in the LHCb registration form signed by the team leader (or deputy) of your institute, upload it on the CERNbox and then send an email to the secretariat for information.
User contract If the new member is planning to come to CERN in a near future, the TL (or Deputy) of the institute should follow carefully the Registration procedure of the Users office. For more information, check the User's office website In addition, if the new member was not registered as external participant prior his arrival at CERN, you will have to fill in the LHCb registration form signed by the team leader (or deputy) of your institute, then upload it on the CERNbox with a valid ID or passport, and then send an email to the secretariat for information.		User Contract The new member will have to update his/her User contract, following the instructions on the dedicated page contract and modification and extension. For more information, check the User's office website If your member will be working for several experiments, it's possible. User contract The member will have to proceed with the extension of his/her User contract, following the instructions on the dedicated page contract and modification and extension. modification of profession		MEMBER LEAVING
If one of your member changed his/her profession (i.e. masterstudent to PhD, technician to engineer etc...), please fill in a new LHCb registration form signed by the team leader (or deputy) of your institute, upload it on the CERNbox and then inform the secretariat via email.		IT IS MANDATORY TO INFORM THE LHCb SECRETARIAT and THE USERS OFFICE, confirming the end date of the User contract and participation.
