About us...

Researchers on the LHCb VELO project come from a wide variety of international backgrounds and possess different sets of skills: design engineers, die makers, machinists, electronic and software engineers work closely with silicon detector experts, cooling and vacuum experts as well as data analysts, phenomenologists and (even!) theorists. Students are key to the success of the project and work closely with all these highly experiences staff and gain, through their institutes, higher degrees.
